Brown Fused Alumina is produced by electro-fusion of high-grade bauxite in a tilting arc furnace or fixed furnace at high temperature. It shows brown color and its primary chemical composition is Al2O3. It has good toughness and high hardness. It is suitable for manufacturing of Vitrified and Resin Bonded Abrasives, Coated Abrasives for Lapping, Polishing and Sand Blasting. The abrasive tools made of brown alumina oxide are suitable for grinding Carbon Steel, normal alloy Steel, malleable cast iron and hard bronze.
